Dentist said they have to get a faxed paper from my daughter’s doctor saying she doesn’t need medicine or anything for a small heart mumor.

I told them “he hasn’t said anything about it since she was born except it’s a very small one and she is okay”

So, what exactly is it that they need to know i dont get it?

if your daughter has a heart murmur it may mean that one of her valves swishes, basically what happens is blood is supposed to go one way in and one way out of the heart. If you have a heart murmur that is mitral valve prolapse that means the valve slips back letting a portion of blood back into the heart chamber. This is usually not a problem in every day life however at the dentist while having a cleaning, filling or extraction they may introduce bacteria into the bloodstream. (this doesn’t make a big deal for people without heart valve defects) But if the bacteria is in the blood stream and the mitral valve prolapses allowing bacteria back into the heart chamber it could cause bacterial endocarditis a life threatening disease that would require months of antibiotics and most likely heart valve replacement. So…
If her murmur is “Functional” and the doctor sends a paper stating it is and she doesn’t require antibiotics before dental procedures then don’t worry about it. If she has mitral valve prolapse requiring antibiotics before any dental treatment, she’ll just have to take some medication about 1 hour prior to her dental appts. This will help avoid the above situations.

my daughter has the same exact thing she takes medicine every time she goes to the dentist about an hour before. you should to the same have her take the medicine because it helps there heart so when they are working on her mouth she wont get an infection some how in her heart.

They need a paper saying she doesn’t need medicine for her heart mumor. Those with heart conditions need clearance before getting dental work done. There are risks and they don’t want to do something on her that could harm her.

I purchased my Kirby in 1992. It is a Generation 3. I paid about 1500.00 for it. I do not regret it.

I enjoy the power and the drive feature. It runs like a car with a transmission. I have two knee replacements and a back fusion. It is impossible for me to use a vacuum that does not have the power and drive to move itself. I recently tried a couple in a store of a different brand and I was shocked out how hard it was to push it. No wonder people are so tired after they vacuum. What a work out.

I never use the attachments. It is an exceptionally heavy machine to manipulate so I purchased a Sanitaire for my hardwood floors and baseboards. It it lightweight enough when I have to lift it. It is great for vacuuming the couch and all the furniture. I do not dust. I use to use Kirby to dry clean my carpets. Now I have wool carpets, wet cleaning is recommended.

Last year I sent my Kirby in because the bag, roller brush, and cord needed replacement. If you are the original owner Kirby offers a complete rebuild for 265.00. I decided it was time. Locally they would charge me 265.00 for the repairs alone. I was absolutely delighted when it was returned. It looked brand new. I couldn’t believe it. They even polished the chrome. Even though the shipping ran me about 60.00 it was soooooo worth it. Local Kirby stores said they offer that rebuild as well, but I found out from a friend that hers did not look at all like mine when she returned. The chrome was not polished and rubber parts were not replaced. I think they just made sure it ran and cleaned it with a cleaner. Ohio does an amazing job. I was lost without it when I sent it in. It took over two weeks to get it back. I spoke with the service dept. and I believe they said they would rebuild any Kirby for around 300.00 to 350.00. So I bought a used Generation 3 and plan on sending it in for the same rebuild. This will allow me never to be without one.

When I am done for the day, my Kirby has a vacuum cover that looks like a butler. We named him Alfred. Alfred and Kirby stand proudly in any room giving it class and elegance.

i live in windsor ontario, the lightning capital of canada and i am used to dangerous and violent weather but never this frequently. I heard on the weather station that it is a storm cell just recycling around ontario but i mean in the last week we have has maybe 5 thunderstorms and some are very strong. And i just looked at the weekly forcast and 2 of the next week are thundery. as i write this down there4 is thunder going on so why are these thunderstorms this severe and frequent and will they eventually stop coming as frequently. just wondering because i was hoping to enjoy my summer vacation.

So, Deng Xiaoping decided to use market methods/capitalism to fix the economy and strengthen it. He succeeded and the economy of China is strong today (albeit with problems too but its growing).

I had it pierced with a ear gun it doesnt hurt at all but the backing keeps coming off because it’s swollen on one side of the piercing. How long will this take to go away? Is this norma?

Never ever ever get pierced with a gun! Especially something like your nose! Whoever did that was very very wrong. Guns are high impact and force the skin apart while, at the same time, forcing a foreign object into a place where there’s no room for it. These can be damaging in the earlobes, let alone anywhere else.

With that said, go to a piercer and see what they can do. You probably either have an infection or a minor blow out, or another type of problem. Find a piercer and call them immediately and go have them help you. DO NOT take out your piercing because if it is infected then your skin could close up and trap the infection.

In the meantime, clean your piercing with a salt soak. You have to use sea salt because it contains no iodine. DO NOT use table salt. You mix sea salt into a cup of warm water (i’ve heard 1/4 cup of salt per 8 oz of water, i use a small cup so i generally just cover the bottom of the cup in salt and fill the rest with water) and soak your piercing for 1-2 minutes. Do this no more than twice a day. Also make sure you’re cleaning your piercing NO MORE than twice a day!! (If you over clean it you could dry it out or kill the good bacteria that is there to heal). You can use Bactine (it’s anticeptic for wounds) or Dial soap.

NEVER use rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on a piercing. This could dry out your piercing and kill the good bacteria.

Again, go see a piercer to get their help/advice/diagnosis of your problem, and stay away from the gun!
