My sister makes all of her own cards and often takes commissions for work. She has recently been asked to do a set of bar mitzvah invitations. It has come at a good time for her, because she needs a bit of extra money and she knows that if these go down well then it is likely that she will be asked to do some bat mitzvah invitations as well as there are a lot of children in the family that she is doing them for. She is hoping that she can get more regular wok and doing invites is a great advertisement for her and so she has to be careful that she does them really well and places a subtle advertisement on the back so that anyone who thinks they would like her to do their invites will be able to contact her. Hopefully, now that we are coming out of the recession, people will be paying for things like this again and she should be able to get more money coming in for her and her family. She has even said that she might use some of the money she makes to take out an advertisement in the local paper and see whether that helps to bring in some business for her.
